This specialist sub-series covers a chronological and spatial span of Late Antiquity through to the Early Middle Ages. This period that has been the object of an extraordinary flourishing of publications and research in recent times in Western Europe and more generally in the entire geographic area once ruled by the Roman Empire until its dissolution during the fifth century CE. The aim of the ASLAEME series is to contribute to the knowledge of this period from an archaeological and multidisciplinary approach encouraging open, honest, and constructive debate.
