BOOK DESCRIPTIONCollection of papers of which majority were first presented at the Third Lampeter Workshop in Archaeology in September 2000. A wide range of issues relating to archaeology in higher education is dicussed. The aim of the volume was to intervene in the current discussion of the teaching of archaeology in higher education, emphasising the complexity of the matter, and the need to subject all proposed measures to critical analysis and scrutiny and further to send the message that teaching of archaeology inhigher education is a matter worth discussing seriously in academic debates and sessions.
