Edited by Göran Burenhult, this substantial volume presents the proceedings of the 29th Computer Applications in Archaeology 2001 conference held in Visby, Sweden. 72 papers are presented, divided into 6 main subject interest categories: GIS; Virtual Archaeology; Osteology; Internet Applications/Cultural Heritage Management; Survey and Mapping/Archaeometry/GPS/CAD; Database Applications/Statistics/Quantitative Methods. Abstracts to all presented papers, as well as posters and workshops, are also included. The sites discussed cover the globe from Spain to Japan, South Africa to Finland, and references extend to all chronological contexts - truly something of interest to all archaeologists.
